Some MLB Parks Seeking to Ban Peanuts [VIDEO]

With baseball season now in full swing, you’ll probably hear, “Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks,” at some point this summer. But, what if you COULDN’T buy those peanuts?

Last year, Fenway Park banned peanuts from an entire 226-person section of the ballpark for the second time that season as part of a growing effort to accommodate fans with allergies, and with number of peanut allergies in the country doubling in the past 10 years, it looks like several other ballparks may follow suit.

Some fans are so sensitive they say the smell of the peanuts simply wafting through the air irritates their allergies. And with so many people allergic to peanuts, some schools and restaurants have banned peanuts already.

The solution seems to be designating some sections of the parks as “peanut free.” I think this is a good thing for those with the allergies, although, they might miss out on this:
