It hasn't been THAT cold in East Texas. But someone must have been as an unidentified suspect set fire to bags of chips at a Walmart in Lufkin Monday night (January 7) according to KTRE.

Fire crews were called to the store around 11:20 p.m. The store was evacuated while the fire was put out. No one was hurt.

Investigators believe someone started the fire but have not yet identified a suspect.

Lufkin Police had this to say on their Facebook page:

So, at least we can rule out spontaneous combustion of a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Looking at the picture of the damage from KTRE, whoever started the fire took out some of the good potato chips. Why would you hate on Ruffles and Tostitos? There is that one small bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos on the shelf so maybe my above theory is not a hundred percent right.

The fire starters should have brought some bowls over and dumped out some chips so firefighters could have a snack afterwards. Keep it classy, Lufkin.
