The 11th annual St. Paul Children's Foundation golf tournament will take place on April 22 at the Cascades. St. Paul Children's Foundation is an amazing charity started by the local St. Paul's United Methodist church and the proceeds raised go straight to children here in Tyler.

In the early 1990's members of the church started a Wednesday night program for children, and then a few years later opened St Paul Children's Cottage. As the needs of children continued to grow, they began to think of other ways to help the children of Tyler. A food pantry and clothes closet were established and were quickly followed by St. Paul’s Pediatric Clinic, Andrew’s Park and St. Paul’s Dental Clinic.

So, if you love golf or love helping out local charities, this is the tournament for you. You can play individually or in teams. There is an afternoon and a morning shotgun start, along with door prizes and a helicopter drop that anyone can participate in. There are different sponsorship opportunities for companies as well.
