The Force will once again be strong with moviegoers in 2017.

Star Wars: Episode VIII has been named the most anticipated movie of 2017, according to a fan survey conducted by Fandango. Over 2,000 participants named the eighth film in the main Star Wars storyline as their No. 1 must-see pick of 2017, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson.

Superhero films will continue to be favorites in the new year as well, as Wonder Woman, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Justice League fill out spots four to six, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are all sequels to established franchises, including The Fate of the Furious, Fifty Shades Darker, Logan, and Despicable Me 3.
