The top 10 for season 12 of 'American Idol' is up for grabs, with the 10 remaining women and the 10 remaining men competing for those slots on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The top 20 'American Idol' hopefuls for season 12 have been chosen and will compete for America's votes next week, with 10 male contestants battling it out for the final five spots on Thursday night.
What happens in Vegas isn't staying in Vegas, especially during the third round of Sudden Death eliminations on Season 12 of 'American Idol.' That's because of the 10 females who performed last night (Feb. 27), only five made it to the next round, while five were sent home, hence that whole not everything (or everyone) stays in Sin City stuff.
So who is stays and who goes?
In perhaps an effort to refresh the show, 'American Idol' has not only installed a new panel of judges, but producers have tinkered with the formula and added a 'Sudden Death' round where the contestants perform for a limited number of slots.
'American Idol' auditions are over, and now the contestants have been thrown into the heat of competition that is Hollywood Week. Tonight's (Feb. 7) episode focused on the solo performances by the boys. Next week, on Thursday night, eight more of the male contestants will be sent home. So no one is safe.
Here are the key singers who made it through and who face being chopped in a week. Hey, we nev
Tonight’s episode of ‘American Idol’ (Feb. 6) was the season's first Hollywood installment, and no girls were allowed. That's right, only the male contestants competed tonight, and it proved to be an interesting and very messy ride.
The day started off on a rocky note for ‘American Idol’ contestants Charlie Askew, Curtis Finch Jr. and Charles Mathis, due to Askew battling a sickness. But the group pulled through and delivered a passionate and impressive rendition of Bruno Mars’ ‘The Lazy Song,’ receiving a standing O from the judges.
It's safe to say that not all of the groups on tonight’s Hollywood episode of ‘American Idol’ (Feb. 6) meshed very well, but Nick Boddington, Mathenee Treco, Matheus Fernandes and Gabe Brown really lucked out. The quartet delivered a stunning performance of Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love’ that started -- and ended -- on a positive note.
Today is my sister's 18th birthday. And after 18 birthdays, Christmases, and every other gift giving holiday, I started to run out of ideas of gifts to give her. I wanted to be really creative this year, and give her something that she won't lose or won't like. I wanted to give her something she will always remember. And with the help of American Idol winner Phillip Phillips, I think I succeeded.
Season 12 of 'American Idol' produced some of the best talent the show has ever had. One of those talents included seventh place finisher Colton Dixon. Colton was the front runner up until his shocking elimination. Well his debut album hit stores this week and it is one of the best albums to come from an Idol alum in a very long time.
On tonight's (Jan. 31) episode of Season 12 of 'American Idol,' the show hit Oklahoma City in Oklahoma, the home state and former stompin' grounds of Carrie Underwood, one of the biggest Idols in the show's history. Here's how things shook out in OKC, where puppets, an instance of forgotten lyrics to the national anthem and an inspirational kid with cystic fibrosis left their mark.
Zoanette Johnson was a confident, room-filling diva who wore a color-blocked outfit and sang the national anthem on tonight's (Jan. 31) Oklahoma City edition of the 'American Idol' auditions. She forgot the words. She messed up the melody, but at least she didn't lip-sync a la Beyonce. We'd have rather watched Bey fake it than hear Zoanette live, but she still got a pass to the next round because
