Just nine days into his life, he had open heart surgery to help open his aortic valve because it was pretty narrow. That was 10 years ago, he's healthy now, but after enduring surgeries on nearly a yearly basis, the time has come to where these surgeries are no longer effective and is in need of a heart transplant.
