For teenagers, a popular rite of passage is going up to a buddy’s summer cabin and seeing how much beer they can drink. Apparently bears like to do this too, as a Norwegian family learned the hard way.
While on vacation in Colorado last week, my wife's mission was to see and photograph a bear. Her eyes were focused on the forest and open prairies for a black bear or brown bear. We were lucky and caught a glimpse of a black bear while on a train ride through the mountains, but had this happened to us at our cabin, I think she would have tried to bring one home!
A hungry bear strolled into Fat Tony’s pizza in British Columbia, Canada through an open door and then began chowing down on a few slices. Thankfully, a local news team got the footage.
It’s bad enough that bears have been known to attack random hikers. Now the animals seem to have graduated to grand theft auto.
According to MSNBC, a bear gained entrance to a parked Toyota Prius in Lake Tahoe, California. Once inside the car, the animal destroyed the interior, then rolled down a steep 25-foot driveway after accidentally putting the car into neutral.
