As you may have noticed art continues to pop up around the City of Tyler wrapped around utility boxes. Two more were installed this week.

The newest sponsor, Marvin United Methodist Church, adds number 17 to the collection at the corner of Erwin Street and Bois D’Arc Street.

Cooperative Teachers Credit Union (CTCU) selected the traffic signal box on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Southtown Drive.

Remember the utility boxes in the Downtown area that were wrapped showcasing art designed by local artists? This program continues to expand!

In today’s regularly scheduled meeting, the Tyler City Council accepted the Texas Municipal League’s 2016 Excellence Award for City Spirit.

The City of Tyler has announced 'Beauty and the Box.' An opportunity for artists to have the art displayed publicly in the Downtown Business, Arts and Culture District (DBAC.)
