I am still a huge fan of music from the 90's. That time period also produced a ton of one hit wonders. A lot of those one hit wonders I continued to follow outside of their radio hit. Here are some of those single hits that turned me on to the band.

I'm so excited, and sad at the very same time. Excited because my favorite decade is getting some love, and sad because I will not be in Brooklyn on Sept. 12.

Blind Melon began in 1989 in California but it would take the band 4 years to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  It happened in 1993 with  "No Rain" from their self titled album.  Then tragedy struck the band in 1995 when lead singer Shannon Hoon died from a cocaine overdose.  The band would continue with a new lead vocalist but would end up leaving the band a couple of years lat
