We have reported earlier that the restaurant group that owned El Chico's wanted to re-brand their establishment with a "country girl/sports bar" theme known as "Double D's" was not going to allowed to open. Double D's is trying to open their doors to the public by reverting back to their former business "El Chico".  They have conceded and are suggesting a menu and uniform modification would be the best solution -- allowing them to start serving hungry Tyler-its.

Well after a long court battle, the verdict is in. The judge made a ruling and sided with the people at Toys R Us. Double D's Restaurant will not be opened, for now at least. More after the jump.
