Evanescence, the rock band that shot to fame with its 2003 single ‘Bring Me to Life,’ is back with a new song and an upcoming album.

The Little Rock, Arkansas-based group has had a bit of a revolving door with members over the years, but the current line-up retains powerful singer Amy Lee, who co-wrote the new track ‘What You Want’ with bassist Tim McCord and guitarist Terry Balsamo.

It's been four years since Evanescence had a new album for their fans, but the wait is almost over -- and singer Amy Lee has dropped a few hints as to what we can expect.

MTV dropped in on Lee at her Nashville studio recently, and they discussed the new, self-titled album -- scheduled for an October 11 release -- as well as its lead single, 'What You Want.' According to Lee, the writing process is much more natural this time around.
