When in Amsterdam, do as the Dutch!
Lady Gaga performed in Amsterdam on Monday (Sept. 17) and she was happy to partake in a little pot smoking action, since the area is the cannabis capital of the world and is perhaps best known for its legal policy on marijuana. So naturally, Gaga smoked a big ol' spliff while onstage.
We've learned two things about Lady Gaga courtesy of her tweet about buying and loving the new Christina Aguilera single 'Your Body.' One, she still buys (as opposed to illegally downloads) music. And two, she is a class act who takes the high road and shows love to her fellow divas, even when they diss (or have dissed) her.
Lady Gaga is keeping the avant garde motif going in the wake of her Fame fragrance launch in New York City, where she slept in a life-sized perfume bottle, let people touch her hand and had the back of her head tattooed. Gaga hit up hatmaker Philip Treacy's show in London on Sunday (Sept. 16) and she did so in out-there style: With a crown of flowers on her head and framing her face. It looked like a floral beard.
Madonna really likes to beat a dead horse, doesn't she? The singer dissed her (much younger) rival Lady Gaga onstage again, this time in Atlantic City. Madge dedicated her performance of her Golden Globe-winning song 'Masterpiece' to Gaga, and she added a nasty insult to the "dedication." Doesn't she have anything better to do than take cheap pot shots at Gaga? This rivalry is so January 2012, isn't it?
Oh the Fame. It's a blessing and a curse, but when it comes to Lady Gaga and her debut fragrance 'Fame,' it's a blessing times a billion. Word is that the scent, which is black in bottle form but is clear when airborne, is on track to rake in a billion dollars in profits. Yes, a billion with a "b."
Lady Gaga launched her Fame fragrance in New York City at the Guggenheim last night (Sept. 13) with a live stream of the event and the corresponding film. This all equated to one of the weirdest things we've ever witnessed in Gagaville.
On tonight's (Sept. 12) Season 2 premiere of 'X Factor,' the producers and judges wasted no time in making things interesting. At the Oakland audition, Quatrele Da'an Smith, an African American drag queen, dressed in a bridal veil, panties, black heels and neon pink lipstick cribbed from Nicki Minaj's makeup bag, performed Lady Gaga's self-love anthem 'Born This Way.' No shock there.
Guessing Miley Cyrus started a trend and Lady Gaga is following along, she shaved the back of her head yesterday and posted a pic of her new look on her social media site.
