No Doubt is returning to their roots on their next album, Push And Shove, but bringing back the horn section and returning to the ska sound a bit.  In a new behind the scenes webisode, you can get a sample of the sound the band is going for on their new album.  The new album is expected to be in stores and online September 25th.

No Doubt haven’t released an album since 2001′s ‘Rock Steady,’ which was a reggae-flavored smash. Well, the Gwen Stefani-fronted rock band has just confirmed that ‘Push and Shove’ is the title of its oft-delayed new album. It will drop Sept. 25, too!

No Doubt fans have been patiently awaiting the band’s return, and over the weekend, the quartet finally announced a Sept. 25 release date for their sixth studio album. Now, Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young are giving No Doubt lovers a sneak peek of a new track called ‘Push and Shove,’ which they previewed during an in-studio webisode.

A couple of weeks ago, Karmin were able to take time out of their busy schedule to talk to PopCrush about their debut album, ‘Hello.’ While talking about their first major label release, which will hit retailers on May 8, Karmin dished on touring and their dreams of opening for No Doubt.

Gwen Stefani and her No Doubt bandmate (and former boyfriend, if you’re up on your No Doubt lore) Tony Kanal will join Interscope Records head honcho Jimmy Iovine, who was jokingly labeled “diabolical” by Ryan Seacrest last week, on ‘American Idol‘ for the performance episode this coming Wednesday (April 4).

No Doubt and Nicole Scherzinger, among others, tweeted endorsements for Republican candidate Ron Paul on Wednesday, but it looks like the stars were the victims of Twitter hacking.

The first few days of January were tough ones for the members of No Doubt. One of their most devoted fans Amy Pepper passed away right around the New Year. The band was so saddened to hear of her death, that they posted a special tribute message on their official website.

It’s been an awfully long wait between new albums for fans of No Doubt, who’ve had to make do with their old CDs and a 2009 tour to tide them over since the band last surfaced with ‘Rock Steady’ in 2001.
