Coats For Kids Distribution Is Saturday and Sunday For Tyler & Smith County

Throughout the month of October, generous East Texans in Tyler and Smith County donated hundreds of gently used and new coats to area dry cleaners so that
they could be cleaned and given to a child in need of a coat this winter. With the temperatures we've been experiencing over the last couple of days, a coat is the farthest thing from our minds but the colder weather will be back though!

Throughout the entire month of October Smith County residents and East Texans dropped off new and gently used coats at participating dry cleaners throughout Smith County to be cleaned and donated to PATH's Coats For Kids program where kids without a winter coat can receive one for free.

Smith County Begins ‘Coats for Kids’ Drive to Help Area Children

Cooler temperatures have invaded East Texas, which are welcomed after scorching summer temps, but the temps won't stop at being  comfortable, it'll be getting much colder soon and there are many kids right here in Tyler and Smith County that will go without a coat this winter. That's where you come in and can help keep at least one child warm this winter by donating a new or gently used coat for a child from birth to 18.

It’s School Supply Time + Here’s How to Help

We don't really need proof that teachers are awesome, but just in case, you're probably heard that teachers have been known to spend their own money on supplies for the classroom. Can you imagine spending your own money on paper and printers at the office just so you can get your work done? Teachers go above and beyond in so many ways.

Earlier this summer we helped collect a bus load of school supplies as part of Biker's Rule for School with PATH. You really came through, so thanks! If you missed it, you have another chance to help.
