It was a good piece of advice, but unfortunately for Paul McDonald, it came a little too late: Paul's quirky style and unique soft voice have been eliminated from 'American Idol,' according to PopCrush. There's a lot of talent on the show this year, so as the weeks go by, main contenders will have to be cast off the show. That's life on 'American Idol.'

'Twilight' star Nikki Reed is reportedly dating 'American Idol' finalist Paul McDonald.

E! Online claims that Reed is now calling McDonald her "boyfriend," and that they've been keeping tabs on each other via Skype, due to their busy schedules.

The couple first met at the 'Red Riding Hood' premiere in March, during which Reed said a quick hello on the red carpet. At the time, the report says that McDonald had no idea who she was.

A rep for Reed has yet to comment on the report.
