Today is Madonna's birthday!  She's most likely celebrating it by working on her new album in the studio.  She's been there since July working on it!  In honor of her birthday, "Papa Don't Preach" is today's Mix 93-1 Retro Video of the Day...

Last night I was listening to Backtrax USA with Kidd Kelly and he played TLC's "Waterfalls" and it reminded me of the video of the girls standing on the water and the different situations they presented during the video.  Check it out after the jump.

Stone Temple Pilots is currently on the road in touring the U.S. and will be in Dallas playing at the Palladium Ballroom next Wednesday (August 17th).  Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.  I just felt like a good rock song would be great for today's Mix 93-1 Retro Video!  Hope you enjoy it - catch it after the jump.

Melissa Etheridge has won an Oscar Award, 2 Grammy Awards, a Juno award and several others throughout her career, that dates back to the 80's but her success took off in the mid 90's when she released her album Yes I Am which scored the hits "Come To My Window" and "I'm The Only One".  She is in the middle of a tour and will be in Shreveport tomorrow!  Catch Mix 93-1's Retro V

I was sitting in the office talking with sales guy Jason this morning and he was helping me come up with a cool song for the Mix 93-1 Retro Video - one that we don't play but screams Friday.  I think we came up with the perfect one - US3's "Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)"!  Catch the song and video after the jump.

I read today that Thomas Dolby will be releasing his first new album in more than 20 years.  It'll be titled Map Of The Floating City and in hearing this news I decided to feature him and this song at the Mix 93-1 Retro Video of the Day.  Look for the album to arrive in stores on October 25th.  Catch the video after the jump.

INXS is one of my favorite bands from the 80's and one of my favorite albums is Kick.  I think I wore out that cassette - it was rewound hundreds of times!  It had the hits "New Sensation", "Devil Inside", "Mediate", "Never Tear Us Apart" and "Mystify".  Catch the original video to "New Sensation" after the jump.

Getting together in the mid '70s The B-52s didn't have commercial success on the radio til the '90s with their album Cosmic Thing which spawned the hits Channel Z, Love Shack and Roam.  Kate Pierson and Fred Schneider are the most recognized figures of the band and when I played Roam today right before 10a, I thought the song would be perfect for today's Mix 93-1 Retro Video.  Catch it after the j
