Their shower was a humanitarian effort to aid the world's most vulnerable babies. That's incredibly honorable of the couple to consider the needy and less fortunate children out there, since her son will be born into the lap of luxury.
UPDATE: Well, we didn't see this coming! Shakira's man, Gerard Pique tweeted that the 'Hips Don't Lie' singer gave birth to a son, only to find out later that it was a prank!
Congrats to Colombian pop diva Shakira and her footballer boyfriend Gerard Pique on their arrived-a-few-days-late Christmas present. Shakira gave birth to their first child, a son, on Thursday, Dec. 27.
Poor Shakira. The Colombian diva, who is expecting her first child with soccer star Gerard Pique, is being sued to the tune of $100 million by her former boyfriend and business partner. That's a whole lot of money to seek from his ex, but he claims to have good reason. He alleges that their business relationship soured after the romance died. Who needs this headache when there is a bun in the oven?
