If you enjoyed the club-friendly pop vibe of Taio Cruz‘s last CD, 2009′s ‘Rokstarr,’ here’s some good news: he tried not to alter the formula when he laid down the tracks for his upcoming album, ‘TY.O.’

Name-checking his big hit single, Cruz told Rolling Stone, “I can tell you that there’s definitely a couple of ‘Dynamites’ on there. I’m definitely not bored of the up-tempo dance electro sound. I’m not going to change it until I feel like I want to do something else.”

On TV now, we've got American Idol, soon there will be The Voice on NBC and now it's time to make way for Platinum Hit! It's a new music competition series that will be airing on Bravo. Now each of these shows have their own special twist - we know what American Idol's all about, on The Voice the judges (or vocal coaches as they are referred to) will only hear the talents voice and not see them. The twist on Platinum Hit is that the musicians will be battling through songwriting challenges that will be centered around various themes. The winner of the competition will get $100,000, a publishing deal with Sony and a recording deal with RCA/Jive Records.
