May 4, 2012 Tylerites are encouraged to recycle using the city's curbside recycling service. The service has been around since 1999 with Tyler's Solid Waste Department making the weekly residential curb side pick ups around the city. The city recently included a brochure in residents' water bills explaining the program.
April 12, 2012 Cyclists have every right to share streets and highways with cars. BUT new trails in Tyler will give them a place to ride that might be safer than next to all those crazy drivers who don't particularly want to share the road with them.

April 7, 2012 Today and tomorrow are your last two days to officially visit the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail in Tyler. The weather has been very cooperative this year and has been very nice. Although the official numbers have not been released as far as visitors to the trail this year, I can only imagine there has been an increase over last years numbers.
Unless you have just been living on the moon, you’re probably aware that many places have already banned texting while driving. But now it looks like Chapel Hill, North Carolina is taking it a step further than everyone else. The city is banning people from even using Bluetooth or any hands-free device while driving too. Basically, the city doesn’t want you talking on the phone at all, while driving. You can read more here.
March 29, 2012 As the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail continues to bloom and bring in visitors to the Rose City this weekend, there will be one more thing that they can enjoy while visiting Tyler and that's the Main Street Flower Market. This year marks the fifth year for the event and features a wide variety of gardening items for sale.
