Maybe you've seen a few green lights around East Texas this week.  At work, on the front porch, and on college campuses, people are replacing white lights with green bulbs to show support for veterans.  And it's easy to become part of the movement.

Today is election day so get out and vote. But Friday, we get to honor those that defend that right to vote.

On Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., join the City of Tyler, the Mayor’s Veteran and Community Roundtable, East Texas Veterans Alliance and First Baptist Church in honoring our nation's heroes at the Veterans Day celebration at First Baptist Church.

Today I'm thankful for those who have faithfully served our country, most of all my dad.

Restaurants all over East Texas will be giving away free meals to members of the military, both past and present.
