This week I found an email from a young man who plays tennis with my daughter -- in his email he asked Mix 93-1 to play a song for a girl. Apparently this young lady was on a vacation in Colorado and he is happy she is returning. Larid is one of those kids you are glad to know -- he is always polite, kinda a bit of a smartie pants but in a good way. Through our summer tennis program I get to see him a lot and it always makes my day. He is a sincere honest person. It was really sweet how to see how determined he was to get the song on the airwaves for this young lass. Video after the jump.

Taylor Swift's 'Mean' debuted late last Friday on CMT. I have been looking forward to this music video because the message is so important. With the abundance of bullying in our schools it is important to dig deeper beneath the surface find out what the root cause is. Swift's video shows a girl that is being teased in school and can't sit with "the cool girls" at lunch and is forced to eat in the school bathroom. Her words are empowering the young people affected by their bullies.

The video features the pop songstress surprising a school cafeteria with a 'Flash Workout.' Beyoncé wears neon green knee-high socks while she leads students in some riveting dance moves. She has the kids dance 'The Dougie,' a salsa and 'The Running Man,' and samples everything from Beyonce's 'Get Me Bodied' to 'Irreplaceable.'

This week, the super-popular artist released the official video for her new single 'E.T.,' a literally out-of-this-world production that features everything from aliens, to elaborate costumes to an appearance by featured artist Kanye West.
In fact, it could be the most epic video she's done to date (unless, of course, you're more into things like fireworks or candy and Snoop Dogg).
The video release comes at a perfect time for Perry; today, 'E.T.' reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, marking her fourth number-one single off her Grammy-nominated CD 'Teenage Dream.'
