This picture has #BlackGirlMagic all over it! Leigh Bishop, a teacher in San Antonio had social media buzzing after she posted a photo of her and her student August with the same hairstyle.

According Ms. Bishop's post, she saw her student August’s hair and thought it was too cute. Leigh then told August: “Oh my goodness! I love your hair, August!  Don’t be mad at me when I come to school with my hair JUST like that”.  Apparently, August rolled her eyes and said “Okay, Ms. Bishop” and kept on walking not knowing what was going to happen Tuesday morning.

Tuesday morning comes and when August got out the car she and her dad were taken by surprise when Ms. Bishop was at school with the identical hairstyle as August.

You thought I was playing?  Girl we are CA-UTE together

With so many stories about African American kids being ridiculed for their hairstyles while in school by teachers and administrators, it's very refreshing for Ms. Bishop to bring a smile to August's face by having the same hairstyle as hers. Just imagine how that kind gesture will boost her self-esteem for years to come.

Ms. Bishop thank you for being an excellent role model and mentor for children like August.  This is a great way to represent during Black History Month.
