Looking around the garage, the storage building and the closets, my wife thinks we have collected too much stuff and its about time to get rid of it.  So this past weekend we had a garage sale not only because we had so much stuff but because the weather was nice too seeing that fall has finally arrived in East Texas.

The initial thought was great, but you don't realize how much time and energy goes into a garge sale until you prepare for one!  First of all you've got to clear the area in the garage so you can sell all of your unwanted stuff!  You've got to take all the stuff out of the garage you don't want to sell or cover it up because if you don't it's inevitable that someone wants to by your lawn mower, washer and dryer and bike!

Once your garage is clear you've gotta round up tables, hangers, price tags and something to hang all of the stuff on.  Then you begin going through all of your unwanted, discarded things and begin to price stuff.

What's a fair price for all of my stuff?  The question we ask ourselves all too much when it comes to having a garage sale!  We want to sell it and get rid of it but make money on it too!  Sell it cheap is what I say.

A word to the wise, if you've got kids and you're going to sell some of their old toys, stuffed animals and games - make sure they're not around because they'll want to keep everything because it all seems new to them again even though they haven't touched it in months!

I didn't realize how much time it took to price all of the garage sale stuff.  WAY TOO LONG or we just have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF!

Tomorrow, it's the big sale!  Find out what happened at the sale tomorrow, then Friday it's all about the rewards!
