The Downton Abbey Movie is Happening, and I’ve Been Under a Rock

When Lucky Larry gives me the scoop on Downton Abbey, I know I've been under a rock.

Today, when I mentioned that I needed to catch up on rest, he quipped that I should end my Downton Abbey binge-watching sessions.When I looked at him perplexed, he said isn't it about to come back on?

Knowing the series had come to an end, I quickly googled the show to see what he referenced. Lucky Larry is a pretty reliable source when it comes to entertainment news, but not a Downton fan.

People reported in July that the film had been greenlit with the original cast. While we don't have many new details about the project, it appears Lady Rose will not make the film, but the other Crawley ladies are scheduled to return.

Production is set to begin this Summer, with the film to be directed by Brian Percival. I'm excited for a new story line, and to see how the Crawley family progresses into the next decade. I may be binge-watching the series again sooner than expected.
