Meet Thelma, a three year old dog that looks like a blue heeler. Thelma is available for adoption at the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People in Tyler.

This dog has a sweet disposition and enjoys other dogs and cats. Thelma has been spayed, is current on starting vaccinations including rabies and has been microchipped for identification purposes. Heelers or Australian Cattle dogs are absolutely not apartment dogs. Working livestock, agility, jogging, biking, chasing balls, and playing Frisbee are productive outlets for this breed's high energy.

For additional information on adopting Thelma call 903-597-2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website – petsfurpeople.org. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is a selective admission no kill animal sanctuary.

They offer dog boarding and routine vaccinations except for rabies to the public for dogs and cats. Follow them on Facebook. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
