Thirty Seconds to Mars turned in a faithful cover of Rihanna's spare ballad 'Stay,' yet Jared Leto and the boys still managed to make it decidedly Thirty Seconds-ified. It's an utterly breathtaking version of RiRi's hit.

In the clip, recorded at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, Leto, wearing aviator shades and a leather jacket, looked every inch the rock star. But once he opened his mouth and sang, he demonstrated a vulnerability that we're not used to seeing from him. He showed us another side of him and we're even more hooked.

The band added drums to the piano-powered song, which filled it out a bit more, but they didn't overdo it, since the melody is maj and allows for the song to be so stark. But the percussion was a beautiful touch.

Leto truly showed off his talents as a vocalist. The song also calls for a strong vocal, since it's so minimalist, and Leto answered the call.

The singer really makes such a compelling case for staying with his dramatic vocal delivery. Who would ever want to leave? We know, ladies. You love him and want to have his babies. He's Jordan Catalano for God's sake. But he can sing.

This cover is a make-you-weak-in-the-knees moment. He wants us to stay. So we will.
