Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Calling It Quits

After a lot of couch jumping on Oprah and 5 years of marriage - Hollywood's "IT" couple is calling it quits. Katie Holmes announced this morning that she and Tom Cruise have decided to end their marriage.

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," her attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People, which first announced the news. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The couple has been married for five years and have one child together - Suri, 6. There were no signs of issues between the two or any speculation of things going bad. Although, Katie has been noticeably absent from Tom's tour promoting his new movie Rock of Ages.

This is not Tom's first marriage to end abruptly. He was previously married to actress Nicole Kidman, whom he has two children with. As well as actress Mimi Rogers. This is, however, the first marriage and divorce for Katie. We wish the best for the family in this time.
