Although Train is still on the road with Maroon 5 for their co-headlining summer tour, that hasn't stopped Pat Monahan writing new songs for the band.  More after the jump.

Pat tells Billboard Magazine the band is

about 75 or 80 percent done with writing the next album."

The plan is for the band to take a quick break once the tour wraps up in September with hopes of returning to the studio to begin the recording process in November or December in anticipation of releasing the album's first single next February with the album to follow March or April.  Pat also adds that at least one song on the new disc will feature a ukulele, just like Save Me, San Francisco did with "Hey, Soul Sister".

Train will be in Dallas along with Maroon 5 and Matt Nathanson on Friday, September 23rd at the Gexa Energy Pavilion.
