‘True Grit’ is This Week’s Movie at Bergfeld Park

The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department continues its "Free Movie In The Park" series this weekend with a showing of a classic, "True Grit", starring John Wayne will be shown on the big screen at Bergfeld Park this weekend for free!

The movie will begin at 8p at the parks amphitheater and all you need to bring is the family and some snacks for this all time classic movie that tells the story of a 14-year old girl who tracks her father's killer into hostile Indian territory with the help from a U.S. Marshall and others.

This free movie in the park event features a best cowboy look contest!  Something new to the movie in the park series.  The contest will begin around 7:30p, so come dressed in your best cowboy gear!

"True Grit" will begin at 8p on Saturday, May 5th at the Bergrfeld Park amphitheater (weather permitting).

The series will continue May 19th too with a showing of "How To Train Your Dragon" at 8p.
