Tomorrow night (Thursday, June 14), downtown Tyler will be converted into a huge art gallery displaying the works of area artists and musicians.

There will be more than 20 different artists displaying their work in downtown businesses with musicians playing music showing off the many talents that are here in East Texas.  The event is organized by the Downtown Tyler Arts Coalition in conjunction with the City of Tyler Main Street Department and Heart Of Tyler.  Gallery Main Street Curator Ashle Foxx says,

This ArtWalk will be unique in that this is the first time many of these artists have participated." (press release)

In addition to traditional art on display there will also be an outdoor demonstration of blacksmith art, jewelry art, ceramics and more.  Not only does ArtWalk showcase the talents of East Texas, it also shows the diversity of the businesses in downtown.  These businesses open their doors so these artists can show off.  Business types participating tomorrow night are salons, law offices to sandwich shops and other restaurants.

ArtWalk is free to attend and everyone is invited.

Also, Liberty Hall will be showing the movie "Four Weddings And A Funeral" beginning at 7p.  Additional tickets are required for this performance.

ArtWalk will be happening tomorrow evening from 4p to 8p in downtown Tyler.
