Not long ago, a friend share with me a technique to help me improve my level of happiness in just five minutes a day. Now, I want to share it with you.

It simply begins and ends with gratitude. The important part is to be consistent, and most people don't take the time to consistently journal their gratitude. We all have busy lives, and the mornings for most people are hurried.

However, if you can force yourself to wake up just five or ten minutes early, you can change your thinking and alter the course of your day, with a few simple journal prompts.

The Five Minute Journal is an easy way to do this. I've actually bought two of these journals, and filled them with my gratitude. The simple act of starting your day by writing down things your thankful for can bring a smile to your face and brighten your day.
