The Christmas tree, they come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and varieties and adorn millions of homes this time of the year. We personalize them to fit our tastes by decorating them with tinsel, ornaments, lights, popcorn and the like. It's a symbol of the season and for many, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the tree.

Growing up I can remember my family going to the nursery and picking out the Christmas tree and then getting it home having a great time decorating it and watching the lights twinkle on an off for hours. It remained in our home usually through New Year's Day and then it was time to remove it. That was fun too because we would watch my dad drag it out of the house while the needles just fell off making a huge mess! Years later we switched over to the artificial tree. This tree was just as pretty but didn't come with the hassle of live trees (like adding water to the base every two days or so).

Now that I have a family, we've only had the artificial tree, which we enjoy, but now that these trees come pre-lit, we're having an issue with the lights coming on each year! So no matter what kind of tree you have, they each have their pros and cons!
