'Remember, Remember the fifth of November,' this quote ran through my mind all day today. It's the beginning of an English Folk Verse that was made newly famous through the film, 'V for Vendetta.'

I've seen the movie several times, and each November 5, the verse runs through my mind. I think of the movie, and it's theme of government oppression and it reminds me to be thankful for our freedom. A freedom that was fought for by people like my dad, a veteran of Vietnam, and is still fought for daily.

It's so easy to get caught up in our daily business and frustrations and forget that we are blessed to live in a country where we are free to think freely. Other people and nations around the wold are not afforded that luxury. It's something to think about.
