I was hungry this afternoon, so while on the air I decided to heat up a can of chicken noodle soup I had in the office to satisfy my hunger. I've eaten while on the air many times before and no one's ever known the difference! But, today was a bit different.

When I was in the break room getting ready to prepare this can of chicken noodle soup, I opened it and poured it into the bowl. When doing this you know there is a distinct sound that certain foods make when their emptied from a can.

Well, when this can was emptied I definitely noticed a different sound. The only sound I heard was the sound of liquid being poured out of the can with some carrots and a couple of chunks of chicken emptying out into the bowl. What was missing was the splashing of noodles!

Yep, the noodles were missing from my chicken noodle soup!

I emptied broth, carrots and a couple of cubes of chicken into my bowl! Needless to say, I was turned off by this and ended up throwing it out, because what's the point of eating chicken noodle soup without the noodles!

It's one of those strange things that just happen I guess. We'll find out if my next can of chicken noodle soup will be the same, because I plan on bringing that for lunch again tomorrow, too!

So to answer my question from the headline of this post -- it's simply a bowl full of broth with some carrots and a couple of chunks of chicken!
