When Will Coats Be Distributed from the ‘Coats for Kids’ Drive?

Generous East Texans donated hundreds of gently used and new coats in October to the Coats for Kids campaign that were to be cleaned and distributed to children who need a warm coat this winter.

Participating dry cleaners graciously cleaned these coats and turned them over to P.A.T.H. in Tyler and Longview Community Ministries in Longview. Now the time has come to distribute them just as temperatures are starting to drop here in East Texas.

Coats will be distributed on the following dates and make sure you check out the appropriate community outreach programs' website, as certain forms of documentation may need to be presented in order to receive a coat or jacket.

• In Longview: Saturday (November 14th) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Broughton Recreation Center at 801 MLK Blvd.
• In Tyler: Saturday, November 21st from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the old Griffin Elementary gym at 3000 N. Border Ave.
