Texas Central Railway has a plan to shorten your trip between Dallas and Houston to 90 minutes via High Speed Rail.

The private company is working to bring the N700-I Bullet Train system to Texas. As you can imagine there are pros and cons to this situation.

The increased tax revenue from the private rail company passing through small towns scattered across Texas could mean better schools and roads for its citizens. In order for this happen, some residents would lose land to eminent domain laws, though Texas Central claims they intend to offer generous compensation to avoid conflict.

Plenty of people are opposed to the project. In fact, a non-profit organization has been founded to help landowners fight the project. Established as Texans Against High-Speed Rail, they offer information on how to fight against the project.

What do you think? Would Texans take advantage of a High-Speed rail system, or would they prefer to drive?
