I was born and raised here in Tyler, I've never called another place home. I graduated from East Texas Christian Academy in 2010, and now I am almost finished with my associates degree at TJC. I was hired as a temporary, part-time receptionist over a year ago, and now I'm the receptionist and digital program assistant here at Townsquare Media. I am also the youngest person on staff here. I grew up listening to 101.5 KNUE and all of these stations. It's funny to now be working with the people I have grown up listening to. This job has been such a blessing and learning experience. It is definitely one of the best things that has happened to me. Tyler and Longview Thank Those Who ‘Serve and Protect’
Last week I was standing in line at McAlisters Deli waiting to order, when I noticed three police officers standing in the line next to me. I couldn’t help but listen to their conversation. They were chatting about the past weeks events- such as the shooting at the mall and the high speed chase out in Chandler, and about how much hard work was put into both of those incidents.
