It's a rather quiet start to Tyler's Azalea & Spring Flower Trails this year thanks to winter temperatures that have hung around a lot later than normal. The blooms are just now starting to bud, but haven't opened up to display their beauty just yet. However, that doesn't stop the festival and the celebrating one of Tyler's natural beauties though. The Azalea Trail opened up last Friday and soon thousands of visitors will be in town for the trails, hopefully this week's weather will be more favorable for the blooms to open.

The Tyler Parks And Recreation Department help celebrate the trails' rich history with the Azalea Arts & Crafts Fair this weekend at Bergfeld Park. This crafts fair will feature around 75 artisans selling only handmade items Saturday (March 29th) from 9a - 6p and Sunday (March 30th) from 11a - 5p. In addition to this free event for the entire family, there will be live entertainment at the Bergfeld Park Amphitheater featuring the following:

Saturday
11a - Tyler Youth Orchestra
12n - Candy Crocker School of Dance
1p - Caddo Culture Club (Native American dancing)
4p - The Sean Haynes Band

Sunday – Fun Family Games
2p - Three legged race and more
3p - Fly Kids Dance Group

There will be a Kid's Zone available all weekend long. For a small charge children can release some of that energy in the bounce houses or on the rock climbing wall.
