Beer in aluminum cans are not usually regarded as highly as those beers in bottles, but it looks like that stereotype may be ending soon.

Some beers have been canned for years, but some breweries have kept their beers bottled to maintain an image of higher quality.

Various reasons have influenced the possibility of switching to aluminum cans now though. Cans allow for the drinker to be exposed to the aroma of the beer more prominently before drinking it, prevent oxygen and light out of the beer (and thus preserving it better), allow the beer to chill more quickly than a bottle and cans no longer have a metallic taste to them.
