Click It or Ticket Campaign Kicks Off Monday

Click It or Ticket begins Monday with an emphasis from law enforcement for those not wearing a seat belt.

Here are some sobering statistics from Texas involving accidents without seat belts:

In 2015, there were 114 crashes in the Tyler District in which occupants sustained fatal or serious injuries
1 in every 10, or two million, Texas drivers and passengers do not wear their seat belt
In 2015, there were 2,300 crashes in Texas where the unbuckled driver or passenger was either killed or seriously injured

The campaign begins Monday and runs through June 5.
