East Texan To Appear on Food Network

Last month, Robbie Shoults of Bear Creek Smokehouse in Marshall was in New York to film two episodes as a judge on the Food Network show Beat Bobby Flay.

The show features two chefs who prepare a dish. The winner of that cook-off then moves on to compete against Bobby Flay. The contestant prepares whatever dish they want and Bobby Flay must recreate the dish.

Bear Creek Smokehouse is located just outside of Marshall preparing smoked beef, pork and poultry.

Robbie Shoults told the Longview News Journal, "It was a lot of fun. I got to meet some really cool Food Network people."

Shoults said that the Food Network will film episodes several months so it could be a while before his taped episode will air.
