Fall brings somewhat cooler temperatures, but when there is no rain, the fire danger is just as prevalent as during the summer.

Shelby, Sabine and Anderson counties have issued burn bans meaning that it is illegal to do any outdoor burning. The county judge or commissioners court are the only ones that can lift the ban.

If you are caught burning, you can be ticketed.

If you need more information on burn bans, contact your local court or go to texasforestservice.tamu.edu.
