Haley Reinhart and David Cook to Hit the ‘American Idol’ Stage
Part of the fun of ‘American Idol‘ in recent years has been watching previous contestants return to the show, and that tradition will continue this year: Season 10 finalist Haley Reinhart and Season 7 winner David Cook are both scheduled to perform in the coming weeks.
For Cook, it’ll be the fourth year in a row that he’s returned to the show that made him famous. He’s tentatively scheduled to appear sometime in May, and his performance will presumably be used to promote his most recent release, an acoustic EP titled ‘This Quiet Night’ that recently became available to the general public as part of a Walmart-exclusive special edition of his second album, 2011′s ‘This Loud Morning.’ Since debuting in the Top 10, ‘This Loud Morning’ has sold more than 100,000 copies in the United States.
Before Cook returns, it’ll be Reinhart’s time to shine. Returning to the stage she exited as a Season 10 finalist, she’ll promote her upcoming debut album, titled ‘Listen Up!’ with a performance of the leadoff single, ‘Free.’ Her appearance, scheduled for the March 22 episode, will kick off something of a mini-TV blitz; Reinhart is also taping an episode of ’90210′ scheduled to air March 27.
Fans can already pre-order the deluxe edition of ‘Listen Up!’ at Reinhart’s website and reserve their copy of the 14-track album, along with a flipbook, a digital download code, and a chance to receive one of 500 autographed copies.
