
Dallas Man Accused of Assaulting Women After Leaving Tyler Bar
A Dallas man is accused of sexually assaulting two women leaving a Tyler bar last week. According to KLTV, the man is now behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted two women at gunpoint after taking them home from a local bar.
Tyler Police Respond to Disturbing Call
42-year-old Heath Latrell Butler is being held at the Smith County Jail on charges of burglary of a habitation to commit a sexual offense as well as two counts of aggravated sexual assault. Butler was arrested after police responded to a home on the 200 block of Walton Road which is under construction.

Officers Discover Two Frightened Women Inside Home
Upon arrival at the scene one officer could see two women who appeared to be naked and afraid inside the home. The officer asked the women if they were okay and they shook their head no while pointing to a nearby room where Butler was found.
The women told the officer they originally met Butler at a local bar and went to the residence to continue spending time together but wanted to leave after finding out that the home was under construction.

Police Say Suspect Threatened Women at Gunpoint
Butler then allegedly told the women they could not leave, then instructed them to remove their clothing and perform sexual acts. Police allege he also told the women he was armed and would “gun them down” if they didn’t comply with his orders.
One of the women told police she wanted to leave but Butler kept his hand on a bag the victim believed contained a firearm. After reviewing the scene officers found probable cause to arrest Butler at the scene.
Butler is now facing multiple first-degree felony charges, if convicted Butler could face between five and 99 years in prison and fines up to $10,000, along with mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
