If you have a love for trains or your kids have a love for them, the place to be this weekend is in Jefferson for the annual Jefferson Train Days event going on Saturday and Sunday.

With a purchase a boarding pass you'll get to stop off at four different destinations around historic downtown Jefferson.  You'll get admission to the new Texas & Pacific Train Depot, Jay Gould Car, admission to the model train show at the Jefferson Transportation Center and you'll get a ride aboard the Historic Jefferson Railway.

Jefferson Train Days is open 11a - 7p Saturday and 11a - 5p Sunday.  Your boarding pass tickets can be purchased at the Excelsior Hotel and the Jefferson Transportation Center.  Tickets are $15, $12 for seniors and military and children under 12 are free.

The Historic Jefferson Railway offers train rides with narration or you can ride the ghost train Saturday night!  For departure times and more information check out the Jefferson Railway website.  The steam locomotive train rides last about 40 minutes and takes you on a scenic look through the piney woods of East Texas and through the wetlands of the Big Cypress Bayou.
