According to their report Longview is the 49th largest community in the state of Texas with a population a little over 81,000. It was interesting to see that the website states that Longview is safer than 12% of U.S. Cities but Tyler was only 10% safer.

What Statistics Created the List of the Safest Neighborhoods in Longview?

There were a couple key metrics when putting this list together including the number of crimes committed, the crime rate per 1,000 residents, the number of violent crimes in the area, the number of property crimes, and lastly the number of crimes per square mile. In Texas there is approximately 27 crimes per square mile, but in Longview that number jumps to 42 crimes per square mile.
