Margaritaville Casino & Hotel Opens in Shreveport [SPONSORED]

I was invited to the VIP grand opening event over the 4th of July holiday that featured the king of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett. He performed Wednesday night in the state of the art and very spacious Paradise Theater where everyone was feeling like it was 5 o'clock somewhere!  That's mainly because many of us were hanging out at the 5 o'clock Somewhere Bar before and after the show!

One of best features of Margaritaville is that it offers gamblers the only single level casino in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. It's really nice because you're just steps away from a gaming table and the slot machines. The resort also offers patrons three separate dining options, the World Tour Buffet, Jimmy's seafood and steaks and the Margaritaville Restaurant. Other Margaritaville amenities include a VIP lounge, spa & salon, fitness center, outdoor pool on the second floor, shopping and three separate bars.

After the show and a little gambling I went up to the room where I was surprised by two things, one was its size, the room was larger than typical hotel and casino hotel rooms. The second being a ceiling fan in the room! I think this was the first hotel room that I've ever stayed in that had a ceiling fan, it just completes the overall theme of the resort.
