Baby formula manufacturer Perrigo has issued a voluntary recall of more than 23,000 containers of baby formula due to the concerns that the product could contain metal.  The recall was announced via a press release from the FDA this weekend after a consumer report raised the concern that there was a "potential presence of metal foreign matter in a single lot of the product."

This product is sold exclusively at Walmart stores under the brand "Parent's Choice," and is clearly marked "Advantage infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron."  If you have purchased this item, look on the bottom of the container for the lot number C26EVFV, and a "use by" date of February 26, 2021.  If you have the possibly tainted formula, stop using it right away.

No adverse effects or illnesses related to the use of this product have been reported as of yet.  If you have already used this formula, or have any questions about this recall - you can call Perrigo's Consumer Affairs hotline at 866-629-6181.
