Phillip Phillips Releases ‘Raging Fire’ In Advance of New Album [AUDIO]

Phililp Phillips has been busy in the studio for the last month and a half working on his sophomore album and released the first single called "Raging Fire".

He tells Billboard magazine,

We kind of have a [release] date but nothing is concrete yet. It's a completely different album that's going to show a different side of me."

He goes on to say that the title track, "Raging Fire", doesn't sound like the rest of the album and describes it as a love song but tells Billboard it's "a little heavier" and "it's got a little bit of an edgier side to it."

Phillip will be performing the song live for the first time on Thursday's American Idol results show and admits,

I hate live television, and I'm gonna be scared to death when I get up there. It's always a little nerve-wracking."
