After reeling off four straight wins in the Southwestern Senior League Tournament, the Rose Capital East All Stars packed up and headed to Bangor, Maine, where they are now competing in the semi-finals in the Senior League World Series. More after the jump.

After defeating Friuli Venezia Giulia Little League of Italy on Sunday, the boys came back from a 6-0 deficit to defeat Maryland, with a stellar 8-6 win on Tuesday. Having two wins under their belt, the boys focused on their semi final determining game against Notre-Dame-de-Grace, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With the game tied 2-2 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, outfielder Tanner Bandel hit a tie breaking triple to give the Texas boys a 5-4 win. with this win, the boys became leaders in the first pool with a 3-0 record, and clinched a spot in the semi finals. And as we speak, the boys are playing the team from Maine to keep their perfect record. Tomorrow morning at 10 am, the boys will play the runner up from Pool B to secure a spot in the Senior League World Series.

Now, I have an "in" with some of the players from the team, but they are a little bit busy winning a baseball game to really comment and give us a good update at the moment. However, I did just receive a text from utility infielder William Finley that says,  "We play the hosting team in 30 minutes, semi-finals tomorrow, championship on Friday."  He assured me he would give me more updates and comments from him and the other boys after each game. Be sure to keep an eye on the stations website and Facebook page for an update, as well as the Senior League World Series website and the local news.

Let's keep showing our support and how proud we are to these boys for all of their hard work, lets cheer them on as they bring the Senior League World Series trophy back home to East Texas!
